Hi Q, Thanks for all the hard work and co-ordination.
Timing is impeccable as TY during our last coffee session was suggesting calling everyone together on the same topic of getting the club going.

hi qwek,
glad things are going the way you guys have planned for so long. really miss those "gangsters" by the big-man's home. the tilapias here are so docile in comparison! really tempted to introduce the PBs here!
am still practicing hard at casting at the uni sports centre. the stadium keeper thinks I'm nuts! but I'm getting there. the 1-2-3 is working very well, getting it straight & farther with time.
also got you a fiber-glass fly rod a "Platcor 5085" from Omaha, Nebraska 8' 6", from a store in HK "Po Kei", its their last (I bought one last year). rod color: white, in 2pcs. will ship it over to you once I find a suitable container. so need your name in full and address (email it to me). hope you enjoy it.
cheers bro eric

Hi Q, hi all, There is a new park at Admiralty. Near the Woodlands MRT station. There is pond like the one at MS. Maybe we can seed the pond with pbs too. Sorry the ponds will be ready only next year. The park is adopted by Republic Polytechnic. Which our boss had said, we could approach to form a fly fishing club in the school, and thence use the park for casting practise and fly fishing.

Great idea! Billy.
The park design do remind me of MS, anybody know where to get tarpons?
btw, I am working with the club officials to get a picnic cum meeting at the end of November. Any ideas or suggestions are greatly welcome.

Hi folks,
Got a call from the CC today asking for our help to show members of Jetulong CC what flyfishing is all about. Bad new is for this Sunday, my fault for not jotting the request when we last met the MP.
But, the show must goes on. I will be there this sunday morning from 7.30am to 9.30am. Will be putting up these items for the show.
1) Collection of flyrods and reels: graphite and fiberglass rod (my cane is on loan at the moment) - Uncle Wong and CY, need your your bling-bling here. ;D
2) Flies (got a small notice board with a glass door to put up the flies for display) - anyone like to take over and mount the flies for display.
3) Spin flies - leftover packages from the last road.
4) Video show- collection of flyfishing trips and CNR.
5) Demo - anyone keen to demostrate casting or flytying?
6) etc.
Appreciate any helps for this last minute request.
Cheers Qwek

I was thinking of asking you guys for some local videos of your fly fishing in local waters to make a dvd disc to give to the new young members to "poison" them.
But I think not enough time liow. Can anyone bring a notebook with a dvd writer and some local videos. We can make the dvd there for the kids. I'll bring the blank discs.

hi billy, I thinks some of us "older" guys would also appreciate the DVD. I further suggest a Video-clip thread be set up on the forum so the exploits of the fishers may be viewed at & learned from by the members... heh..heh..greedy eh?
cheers bro eric
