Nowadays, i go fishing on a beach where sand flies are abound. I wear long sleeve and long pants to cover most of my skin but most importantly, apply lots of insect repellant. You can get it in any pharmacy. That works for me and smell good too. But of course 1 or 2 bites are bound to have...

Hi people, Thks for the support in this thread and making this section alive. I am back, yes! My trip is an enjoyable one and it is going to take me some time to write it out here and in my blog. As foodha mentioned about stonefish and box jelly fish, I would be writing up on them soon. One night while jigging, we encountered lots of box jellyfish on the surface and first thing that came to my mind is, I must write something about box jellyfish. The toxin is not deadly but it could cause death to those people who are allergic to it. Many people have died from allergic reaction towards box jellyfish's toxin during fishing, snorkelling and diving. Watch out! Great tips from you guys too regarding sandflies' aftermath. The best cure is still to avoid infested areas when sandflies are detected but sometimes when the fish many many... lol... when fish are eager and willing, anglers are willing too. Cheers!
