Hi Anren,
Very nice fly. To tell the truth, I never tied a Deceiver before, tied very few saltwater patterns. Then again, the deceiver and clouser were designed for fresh water back then.
Can't see much of the head.
Keep it up.
Cheers Qwek

Hi an ren, you can try tying a few loose wraps a slightly back to keep the bucktail from flaring. For me i wind lead wire after tying the hackle in to make my deceiver sink.
Cheers Nick

Tied more flies over the last few days including my first half and half which i don't know if its correct or not but the flare in the buck tail is purposely done. please comment on these flies. i feel i still have a lot of room to improve and both positive and negative comments are welcome. i wanna learn more. size 4 charlies Half and Half Sea- Ducer, one of my most favourite patterns. Gurgler Whistler tied so the tail opens. this is also my first ever whistler. not crystal clear about how to tie one. Thank you very much for all the comments and support so far! Best Regards An Ren

just tied this mere minutes ago. just sat at the vise, looked at the materials lying around and whipped this out. please comment .. its been a while since i tied by imagination rather than "by the book". i think this fly with some modifications could imitate baby peacock bass that our toman and other peacocks love to eat. Pics SIde FRont thanks for the comments in advance. An Ren

Hi An Ren
Nice profile, can try for the GT too. Try tying a bigger bulk head and complete with a pair of eyes, that would be a killer fly!
Cheers Qwek
