Here were the culms after flamming.
Hi Uncle Wong, I have a metal table stand just like those from the pasar malam, that you can use to flame the culm. Will pass it to you this weekend. Look like you been using the pillar in the background as the base to split your culm. ;D Great job! Cheers Qwek

Dear BOBs, I gotta admit that after seeing the pics BT placed in his blog and the fact that he scored during his taboo 7th month , I couldnt take it anymore, called uncle at 7pm the next day, hussled him out to LPR in his pyjamas and casted the rods in my office wear ;D The moon rose and dew fell and the sky was cloudless.... closest thing to the sky opening up!!! ;D BT's rod was so nice I could cast it in the dark but Leo rod 2 was rather too fast for this slow action man to catch up. The original Leo 1 was beautiful as ever. All rods were really accurate and dropped the yarn at the target spot effortlessly. Great work Uncle! Cheers CY

Told you 7th month taboo don't believe. I kena poison and break this 50 year old tradition. Sunday, a guy nearly broke my leg. We went for a 50-50 ball and being the younger and bigger size guy, he whacked the ball so hard that my leg was twisted the other way at the knee. See chinese sinseh, say dislocated. Before he put it back for me he told me very painful. I screamed. After that he say I scream even louder than a woman giving birth. Now cannot walk. Walk with crutches also difficult. He say after 1 month than can walk. See? Now same same, 1 month cannot fish. Sigh .

Get well soon Billy!
At the mean time, if you need anyone to keep the cob-webs off your LeoRod, I'll be happy to oblige! A few Sebs a day ought to do the job.......

Ya Billy you better take good care of yourself,..... while volunteer to take good care of your Lerod #3. I think it needs more pbs and sebies to break in your rod, so when you recover and come back fishing your rod will give you a better flex power to cast out your line beautifully! ;D ;D ;D

Thank you guys.
My leg was indeed broken. Just returned from the hospital. Warded at TTSH for 3 days because x-ray showed fracture at the tibia plateau. A pyramid shaped bone broke off and separated 4mm from the main bone. I opted for cast and not surgery. (C for cowards) The doc did a CT scan and decided a cast was enough. But I will get artritis next time.....whatever that is.
So it will be 2 long months before I can play soccer again.*&^%$#@! But I will go fishing when the doc say I can put weight on my leg. ;D
