;DYes Billy, we all voted to form a club and its shall be name Flyfishing Singapore same as our forum. As you know our forum is use by visited by flyfisherman all over the world so it should be nice to use the same name. It will not be easy and if all of us work and co operate, we should make it. ;D We are having another picnic, this time hope that the SFAS can make it so we can discuss and share different views. We are having another picnic, this time hope that the SFAS can make it so we can discuss and share different views. Yes indeed Jim. We can work together on common issues eg C&R etc. We can have 2 associations and compete in a friendly manner. I think we should leave the past bickerings and bad blood behind and start afresh. (If they want.) Creat an avenue or open a line of communications so that if there is any disagreements, we can talk it out in private. Sometimes being too outspoken in a forum can embarrass the other party and put them of the defensive and offensive. Qwek is a real gentleman and has put Fly Fishing a top priority before himself and his pride by offering an olive branch for the SFAS. He had made his first move. I am hoping/praying the SFAS reciprocate the good will. As long as we have made up our minds to form a club, we can move in the right direction with or without their co-operation or assistance. We have enough capable people rallying with us. It would be fantastic if they can accept our ideas, and work with us to further our cause for fly fishing in Singapore.

Hi guys,
great to know that the club will be formed. Sorry for not attending as I was serving my national duties and boy am I gald to be back today. Look forward to the next picnic and discussion.
What Billy said is totally true, we need to work together with SFAS and put all differences behind. After attending the carnival and having the chance to speak to some of the PUB and Nparks people, there is a bright future not only for flyfishing but sportsfishing in SG. They have begin to understand more about sportfishing, C&R and re-stocking. What is interesting is also that they will like the public to be more proactive and adopt the waters. Thus strongly feel with a club or org. we are able to speak to the agents officially and present them with a proposal.
Lastly thanks to Edward for the photos ;D

We are having another picnic, this time hope that the SFAS can make it so we can discuss and share different views. Billy and ' myself ' could not be at this ' PICNIC ' for a variety of FC ( Family Commitments ) reasons - but thank y'all for the UK ( Understanding Kindness ) And in the event, of SFAS not being there, at the next event - we hope y'all will show the same level of Understanding Kindness and NOT make any assumptions about their absence Cos " Don't Forget To Remember " : Assumptions is the Father of all FU*K ups So lets not FU*K this up - but show more Friendliness, Care, Understanding and Kindness

Ladies and gentlemen,
Thank you for the compliments about the photos. A picture speaks more than a thousand words, right? My photos are nothing compared to those who have worked their brain juices dry in all ways to pave the way for Fly Fishing Singapore. Since I love to play with my camera, this task simply makes my day.
Quote from Huns - What is so difficult to volunteer an hour a week to watch the water? We could watch an hour and then fish an hour, right?
I totally agree with the above. No tasks is too difficult when we call fly fishing our passion. To play with cameras come naturally with everything that involves angling.
It is an honour to be a part of this artistic family and I have come to make many new friends and learnt alot from each other. We have a great bunch of people here.
We shall all look forward and work together in the days ahead for a better tomorrow for all fly anglers.
Cheers!

Hi folks,
My thanks to Mtshark for documenting the event with his trusty Sony.
I like to state that I send out a VERY LATE invitation to members of the SFAS committee, please understand that they had prior arrangement made for last weekend. Much as they like to join us for the picnic but they have duties to perform that afternoon and they do appreciate the invitation. It is my fault for sending the invitation rather late.
Like Billy, let bury the hatchet and move on. The road ahead is still bumpy but we can ride it out together. We will continue to have bird-brain heckler along the way and if we choose to ignore it we can just get along fine.
Till the next picnic.
Cheers Qwek
