Today is the first time I took my brand new Airis Angler kayak wif together with a brand new Rapalero 8-14 rod and a brand new Abu Mamiya 1500C reel.... At first I did abit of flyfishing chasing tarpons but with no luck I tried a few flies but no luck... so I decided to change to my brand new baitcasting set... and was christened with a good size barramundi. After few cast, I had a go with drag whizzing out and came up with a chermin, asking my friend Mathew to take a picture and released it. Then my drag went screaming again, this time I this one was running all over the place and after awhile my leader got bitten off... hmmmmm kept wondering what was it? big snapper? I changed my leader and hooks and had another go... I hit another chermin and makes my friend grumbling at my luck of one fish after another! As he was grumbling, my line went screaming again. At first it kept on diving and suddenly it went straight out and when I managed to bring it back..... it came back like this.... My friends was fishing with their leg dipping in the water sitting on the side of their kayak like ..... Seeing what happened to my chermin, they immediately pulled up their legs, with me having a good laugh! Later on, Mathew finally got his catch .... but smaller than mine, whaaaaaa ha ha ha! No matter all the excitements it still couldn't beat catching a fish on fly..... hmmmmmm I will have a go with it another trip.
