It is rare occassion that Chee Yung is able to spare early hours in the morning during weekdays to wet the lines. Hence I gladly accepted his invitation last night to go to NZ to seduce the sebbies there with the two beauties. He arrived at my place before the designated time and told me to bring my digital camera. As I stepped into his boowagon, he said he could not sleep last night. He must have seeing in his vision repeatedly how the two wands would have bent on sebbies! ;D ;D ;D. We arrived NZ at 6:30 and the sky was already quite bright. Without wasting time, we immediately line up the two wands, he with the Gteenelven and I held the Drow in my hand dearly. He asked for fly I tied for sebbie. I handed him one from my fly box and tied one on myself. Soon we were working the water at the location where I last landed the big sebbie. After about 10 minutes of no action, I moved downstream . The water level was pretty high today and most places where we normally stand were flooded. After 10 minutes of working the water at the pool to no avail, I moved further downstream and Chee Yung moved to the very last end where I usually stand. I saw some activities in shallow water and casted towards the edge. As I slowly retrived, I felt a tug and raised the rod instantly. I saw a baby toman at the end of the line. Luckily it took my fly on the shank of the hook or else it would have chopped away the fly from its tippet. I took out my camera from my chestpack wanted to take photos of the baby with the Drow only to find that it did not have enought battery charge to operaqte! d**n me, not checking equipment carefully.! . Then I took out my handphone and took a photo of it. As the water was covering all ground around me, I did not lay the rod nor the fish on ground while taking photo. After I released the fish, Chee Yung hooked up a PB and having good time playing it on the Greenelven. But the Greenelven proofed too powerful for the fish! Hooray, both wands were broken on fishes but unfortunately, no photos to inked the event! As Chee Yung need to go to the office, we ended out session early.

Thanks Uncle, lets do it again soon!! Alberto, I heard how Ed's bruisers locked up your Charlton ... now that a Charlton is almost $2K p205.ezboard.com/Charlton/fclarksclassicflyrodforumfrm14.showMessage?topicID=1336.topic ... combined with a wand thats more than $5K at risk at a concrete pond .... Hmmmm Lets Do IT sometime ..kekekeke... I'm easy to please...savouring the pristine NZ setting first despite the generally smaller catches ;D Join us 6.30am tomorrow if you can as I have another surprise in store for you ;D Cheers CY

Hi Uncle Wong, That is indeed a prize catch ;D ;D ;D Still hoping and waiting for my first Saratoga CY, I pretty pissed at the way the Charlton performed. I put the drag close to lock down and then, in a flash it went free spooling and the GT headed straight for the structures in the middle of the pond. My Bauer M5 Superlite's cork drag did a much, much better job and at a much more affordable price. So much for reputation When I got home, I could not even remove the spool for cleaning. Looks like the draw bar has gone kaput. Its now back at 3M and I'll see what they are doing with it. I'm now eyeing the Super 6 with the PB anodising regards Alberto

I am so glad that you guys are having the fun with them that you are and I wish I was there with you physically instead of mentally but it is not a bad second and I really appreciate you allowing me to share vicariously in your fun this way. Well, you guys probably noticed that I am having more fun with the Drow than Chee Yung has. But it was because Chee Yung shared his love between Elven and the new Blonde Actually, the truth is that Chee Yung is never guarding his boo beauties with jeloussy. He always share his boo babes with us generously, me especially. Thanks Chee Yung! Our next target --- Sebbies.
