Hi Guys ~ sorry I've been absent so long. It's been extremely busy and trying to work away at my backlog of custom rods, along with the repairs and restorations. I've also been involved in organizing the Colorado Cane Conclave, instigating a Catch & Release Ordinance in the rivers in Lyons, Colorado, and an update and overhaul of my website. I wanted to let you know that one of the enhancements of my site is that I've created a list of the previously owned and used bamboo rods available for sale. If interested, please take a look at my site page "Previously Owned Rods." I've also enhanced the AK Best Page to make it easier to order his flies. Maybe we'll see some of you make it to the US for the Conclave? See the What's New Page of my site for details. Best to all, Mike & Kathy

Hi Mike & Kathy, A pleasure to have you with us as always Wow!!! What a selection and imagine those were the ones that remained after the big sale . That Summers went real quick and I would've tried for that rod if not for owning my nice Perfectionist with a spare Summers tip. I wonder if the Howells have Zebra wood grips or just cork grips? I'm partial to those striped numbers With some luck, I may end up in Portland Oregon sometime mid year but as usual, I'll miss the Conclave Do have a great time and do send my best wishes to my Colorado pals. Best CY

Hey CY, I thought you promised to bring Ashley so I could show her my cats and my favorite small streams!? Well, you at least should call us when you hit the beautiful Oregon coast.
The only Howells left with Zebra wood is the 8' 3". The short rods all have the cork.
Sir Ken also sends his regards, Kathy

Hi Kathy, I will certainly keep my promise to bring Ashley and Marcus to collect my Southcreek Masterpiece and play with the cats. The little ones have been giving me lots of encouragement and sometimes 'helping' me plane of my own version of banjo's Kusher taper and who knows Ash & Marc may bring their own cane rods when we do drop by . My Oregon trip is ( unfortunately)strictly business as we've just won an Academic Medical Centre Masterplan in collaboration with a famous group based in Portland called ZGF. I'm trying to push for a visit to Universiry of Colorado during the study trip and who knows I may even end up in Lyons... That said, I will certainly call when I'm in USA. Thanks for the Howells info. I guess I missed the big sale... Great to know that Sir Ken made it for the Conclave. His heart is always in your shop and your streams.. Best CY
