Good day! Has anyone here tried using this reel? Looks pretty good from a cosmetic standpoint and already comes with 3 bearings. Any real world experiences? Or should I stick with more popular ( and expensive ) brands like Ross, Tibor and Hardy?

Just did a little googling on your reel.
For the money they are asking, you might want to try the redington line. At the very least you get the warranty.
You might also consider the species that you're going after.
Unless you're chasing speedsters or reef dwellers, you will rarely have to rely on your drag to subdue your query.
Try the CD or old AS series. they are serious bang for buck.
as for brands like tibor and abel, its more a case of fishing with a piece of art on the butt end of your rod. I personallly own a tibor but hardly take it out as there is seldom a need for it.
I use an old martin platic mold reel on my ten weight for most of my bottom bashing as some of the ledges I fish from can be very bad for a reel. Especially with the wash and rocks.
It boils down to what you're going to use it for and how much punishment you expect it to take.
my 2 Cents

Thanks for your thoughts! Am a newbie to fly fishing and was considering a 5/6wt reel for freshwater fishing. I figured that the ajiking would be a better starter reel compared to one made of plastic for the time being until I determine if I would want to really get into fly fishing as a hobby.

I actually have two of the 'plastic' scientific anglers concepts.
I must say they can take quite a pounding. A good example of what it can comfortably handle would be the photos in my posts on Carp fishing here in NSW Australia.
I stilll take those reels out for estuary bashing and when fishing in locales where I think some jungle bashing is involved.
they cost about 30 bucks each and are heaps easy to maintain. I've used them in both salt and fresh. never had a complain about them.
They've been with me for about 5 years odd now and never had to replace or service them.
