Bedong is a small town in Kedah and located 12 km to the north of Sungai Petani, Malaysia. The Bedong ponds is actually call Tai Seng and is run by Ah Thye. It has a series of retention ponds catering to the Tigerprawn ponds in the farm. Rather than leaving them as holding ponds, Ah Thye has released truck loads of Barramundi, Golden Snapper, Tarpon, Ladyfish and Brackish Tilapia and most recently GTs, milkfish and MJ. I was told that cobia will be released soon. The owner has completed a 8-rooms chalet for those who wishes to fish overnight. Completed with hot running water and air-con what can you ask for more. Oh, the foods! The bat kut teh is to die for, beside the other mouth watering meals that he dished up for us. You just has to experience it for yourself, wether it the fishing, the makan or just the laid back atmosphere. Here some pictures to get your hands itching... The atmosphere at Bedong The prawn harvesting... Of course the fishing.... Deck chair fighting... More fly actions... The companies and the makan... More to come... cheers qwek
