Most five years olds like Christopher would rather play Angry Birds or Pokemon. But not Christopher, he like to whip up some wild imagination with hooks and feather. Whenever he come to my place he will go upstair to my study room where my flytying table is. He has started by sitting on my laps and watch me whipped up a fly or two. Slowly I let him help tied a few, either by whip finishing or applying glue for the finishes. Eventually, he will direct me with the materials to be laid on the hooks and he has endless imagination. I will not tell him that the materials may not be ideal or matching, I just let him dictate what he fancied. Christopher, kodak moment and doing a one-finger whipping finish. and here are some of the flies from his imagination. black ant from a non slip mat Peep-a-boo Caddis using rubber lace, micro chenille and buck tail Chick-a-boo using grizzly soft hackle, tippet from paint brush, yellow floss and mylar tubing. Of the three, only the ant was tied with my help, the other two were tied by him. These are not the first that he tied. I will post the earlier flies tied by him later on. Great funs to watch him put all the materials together to form something. I will fish with his creations one day. Hope you enjoy the journey this boy is having in his flytying adventure. Cheers Qwek
