Dear all, A Tan Comparadun.... Materials used: 1) Size 14 hook 2) Hackle fibres for the tail, tied at 45 degrees 3) Natural hare or grey dubbing for the body 4) Elk hair or deer hair for the wings Tail : Choose 4-6 fibres from a hackle. Before tying on the tail, add a little bit of dubbing at the bend of the hook for a butt. From the top view, place the tail at 45 degrees angle n tie in pushing against the dubbing butt. Likewise do the same for the other side. This way you will have a fork tail!! Wing : Choose a finer material like deer hair. Elk hair is more coarse. When tying in the wings try to "push" it forward using ur thread to control so its slanting at an angle towards the hook eye. From the front view, the wing is suppose to fan out like 10-2 on a clockface. Or maybe 9-3 will be nicer...hmmmm..... Happy tying cheers trouty
