That's right, Alberto. Tied without using the vise, it is fun just trying something new while watching the telly. You need advance preparation like cutting the bucktail before hand.
Will try for other patterns soon.

Hi Folks, Here are some of the flies I've tied for my Maldives trip. I will also attached some of the catches using these patterns, the previous patterns will be updated with pixs of the catches too. Please bear with me as some of them are repeated and rather old. Snapping ShrimpHook: Bonefish hook #6 or #8 or similar Thread: 6/0 tan Body: carpet yarn spiral wrapped toward the eye, leave a body length to form the wing Wing: carpet yarn with two pheasant tail fiber as feelers. Eye: Black bead chain There is another version which i've tied using braided ribbon for the body and polar fiber as wing. Will post that later. Mott The HopperHook: Mustad 94831 #8(or equivalent light wire hopper hook) Thread: Danville 6/0 white Body: Danville 6/0 wrapped till the bend then spiral wrapped with light foam toward the eye. Use marker for body feature Wing: Deer hair, held down to prevent spinning around the body. Leg: Rubber leg Before I got the correct foam, I experiment with artificial flower petal. The kalui and the Arrowana was caught with hopper on the #00 More to come....

Yes that kalui was from BR, and the rest of them are getting smarter. It rare to spot them and they are wary of this hopper pattern too. Got to tie something else, well that the challenge. ;D
Nice to see you at the pond, at least we have a place in Singapore to go for freshwater flyfishing. Hope to the other beside the pacu and the sultan.

In flyfishing or any type of fishing, we all have a lot to learn from each other as we go along. Sure, let do a midnight bash there. But I need to bring along a misi to jumpstart my heart in case it stop. ;D
