wow, with all this recent intrest in fly tying.. i've decided to post a few of my recent patterns.. im trying to revamp my fly box to include just a few patterns which im confident off, the gurglers and terrestrials will be part of it but the mickey finn is a little too complex for my liking.. especially the wrapping of the hook shank.. we'll see though... i would also like to put paste on eyes for my streamers with a little epoxy head.. comments? 2 chernobyl ants a somewhat original with a modern day variant of the mickey finn my first attempt at a mickey finn a pair of gurglers one of my favourite colours for flies, an orange gurgler

Hi Matt, Great ties! Very nice nuclear ants too. But I think you make a mickeu out of your photography Try shooting with more lighting and with a plain background. Remind me to pass you guys some precut background papers and the electrician wire holder that I used in my posting. I also use the paper during flytying, the porpous surface help trap debris from flying about. Great ties Matt. Cheers Qwek

Hi Qwek, Thanks for the link ;D Its clear how to tie the rear end now. It also funny how I have fished the gurgler all wrong. I use it with a floating line and pop it on the surface like a popper regards Alberto

hey alberto! chill man! i do it too but well, i do vary it by twitching once in a while instead of popping it. which is how i got the peacocks on gurgler. Nice flies, matthew!

yup, aint nothing wrong with using it with a floating line... still catches fish for me.. but using it with a floating line would give an added dimension...

Hi Mat, Thanks for the "Gila Lau Peh" (Crazy Daddy) fly tied at my place.
You have the honour of being the first visitor to tie a fly at my place.
I'll try and organise a proper session soon.
regards Alberto
