Hello Roastroys, You may want to place a light coloured card board as background when taking picture of your fly at the vise. That way the background does not look clustered and try to take a closeup. I getting old lah and my eye sight is failing me. ;D I'm sure with Henry's coaching your flytying will surely improves like many of us who have gone thru his tuitions. Except Jimboz, who always pontain classes. Keep it up. Cheers Qwek

Hello Roastroys, You are making wonderful progress.
What is important is that you fish with the files you tied. I have mentioned it before, some of the ugliest files that I have will also catch fish ;D
Tying it beautifully is just to please ourself.
regards Alberto

Hello Roastroy,
Hate to use rules in flytying, I alway feel that flytying should come from one own creativity but there some rules of thumbs to follows when displaying flies. When taking picture of flies try to take them in the correct riding position. In this case both the charlie and the clouser are upsidedown.
Take a look at Bob Clouser's sites on how to tie the clouser minnow which I have posted earlier in this section. Like Alberto said, let the fish be the judge in how well you tie the flies, they are the one that gotta bite them. ;D
Keep it coming.
Cheers Qwek
