Hi Yu Hock , Glad you are here and discussing casting ... seems like a year ago when we last met for a 5wt shootout ... and talking about coincidence, I've got another kid on tow ;D hahahaha This 5wt tourney sounds great and the TCR as Qwek mentioned is indeed the ideal rod as proven last year.... but here comes the problem... is everyone using a TCR? If not, there will be complaints that the TCR is 6wt hahahahaha! I understand that in some USA tourneys, the line and sometime the rod is standard. I've been out of action for a long while and tilting towards bamboo... as such, would appreciate you take on other Power rods like GLX, Scott and the multitude of new brands and models like Powell, Albright, Redington etc. Thanks and Cheers Chee Yung PS. BT you may have found the casting moderator here! ;D..kekekeke

Hey Billy,
Looks like you will be catching another moderator for this lightly touched land.
"From a distance, we see a man setting up his gear for his hunt by the quiet still water. As the sun is rising in our face and with this man standing as if right in it, we believe we see an aura surrounding him mysteriously as if he is glowing like a glow bug. The sun seems to have stopped for him while he begins to stand on his feet. Still caught in the glow of the sun, he begins his feats. Our ears caught the faintest sound of something in the air and our eyes focus onto the water which is almost like a mirror now. More than a hundred feet away from the edge of the water where that man stands, we see a fish leaping into mid air and that's when we see his weapon of choice lifted up, a 5wt Sage TCR..... unmistakenly... we have come to our senses as we see the backing peeling of the reel with the fly line out even at a further distance now. From afar, we could still hear the faint sound of the clicker echoing into the air like a cricket in the night....."

Hi all, MTS, hmmm. Your self reflection is very well written, you are my inspiration to pick up my TCR again (I hope). Billy you found a true gem just under your nose! Regards, Yu Hock Haha, you must be kidding me. Of course, I wish I could cast like a pro one day but I still need lots of hardwork along the long long way. Nothing is going to stop me in progress for this feat unless my very own passion for this dies. Maybe one day I could even double wield!!! Haha, kidding lah. Hey, I heard about your zonker weed fly. Must show me leh.
