Even fishing got so much problem and politic amount angler,[/glow]sometime i wonder fishing is just a normal hobby
why these bunch of ppl make it until so complicated.Do they got problem or wat?Or they are trying to be funny?
What are these ppl trying to prove? To prove that they are representing the public to fight for their own fishing right or really they are standing out there for the public.
Look at the political manoeuvres by the rowing clubs,
canoe clubs, paddle clubs, wake boarding clubs.
Their political manoeuvres got them a lot of grounds in the reservoirs.
Go to MacRitchie reservoir and look at the legal fishing ground.
It is shorten by 50 percent to accommodate the Paddle's Lodge rowing activities.
The original legal fishing ground has an area
[glow=red,2,300]"SAFE FOR CHILDREN" [/glow]to fish and this portion of the fishing ground is taken over by them
for launching their kayaks and canoes.
Canoeist are more valuable than fishing children.
And it is being percieved that way because of political manoeuvres.
They are offered the safe children area at the expense of our children's safety.
Politics can be cruel and politics can be kind.
In this case, I view the political manoeuvres of the rowing club as evil,
simply because they took away a little portion of the legal fishing area which I can let my kids fish safely.
My only blame is the PUB and NParks.
They let themselves be swayed in their logical judgement by evil politicians in from rowing clubs.
The section of the Legal Fishing Ground now perch on a precarious cliff.
If your child or anyone fall into the water in this part of the Legal fishing section,
it is very difficult to launch a recue from there.
I don't know what type on concience these rowing people have in their minds.
I also wonder what type of people you have in the NParks and PUB to agree
to the rowing clubs lobbying and have the MacRitchie Legal Fishing Ground perch of a precarious cliff.
[glow=red,2,300]
Would you let your children fish on that cliff?[/glow]But I think they do have children of their own, and do love their children very very much too.
[glow=green,2,300]Politics does have its part in fishing too.[/glow]I am passionate about fishing.
My kids are passionate about fishing too.
How would you explain to them one day when they go the their favourite fishing ground
and the rowing uncles scolded them and ordered them off the fishing ground which their dad had told them is
[glow=orange,2,300]"THE LEGAL FISHING GROUND"[/glow]and direct them to fish at the precarious cliff,
which look more like a place for the broken hearted lovers in MacRitchie who want to take a plunge.
We need the SFAS to lobby on our behalf to get our fair and rightful share of the fishing grounds.
We have as much rights as the rowing people.
But why are our activities being held back,
while the rest of the rowing clubs are lightyears away from where we stood?
I am a member of the SFAS.
I trust Chin and the rest of the committee to right this wrong at MacRitchie.
(Hope you're reading this Chin and Jimmy)
But we do need to give them time and space for their manoeuvres.
There are others who expect them to do something, and are less patient.
They give their views too, with passion.
They are not trying to be funny.
They are not trouble makers.
They are just passionate and are more outspoken than the rest of the community.
Let them have some space to voice their greivences.
Let's not restrain them from giving their positive criticism.
Right or wrong is a matter of personal opinion.
There was this American guy once said,
"I don't agree to what you had said."
"But I will defend your rights to say them."
So guys, this forum is a place for people to "say them".
Of course if flaming and bashing start,
I defend "my rights" to kick them to thy kingdom come
and out of this forum.
