Would it be possible to set up those underwater structures for fishes at the legal grounds of reservoirs?
By setting up those underwater structures, the fishes would have places for hanging out, hunting and breeding…the smaller peacock bass would also have shelter for growing, and likewise for the preys. There would be more fishes at the legal ground…and thus it would be easier to encourage people using spin-fly or luring as the catch rate is higher and they won’t get disappointed with the result of artificial baits and continue using baits.
Besides, fishing at illegal ground would no longer be necessary, as the catch rate is also good at the legal ground. More people will then fish at the legal ground. We can also make use of this to ask PUB to open up more grounds for fishing as there are now more people fishing at the legal ground.
Some idea I’ve got is to use wooden poles or PVC pipes to form a structure which has some properties of those mangrove roots...and we create a few of these and place them at different depths and location
Another idea is to look for tree trunks and to stack 1 or 2 on top of each other in the water...again, we can create a few groups of these and set them in different parts of the legal fishing ground.
in the other thread...the idea of FAD was suggested...I think this is a also feasible.
The only thing is how are we going to go about doing this and whether the PUB or Nparks will allow us to do this.
Would like to hear comments from you all too
