haha, nice catch lim... that isn't that small a glass fish... it sure looks big and beautiful in your second pic... fantastic photo of the fish... ps. thats the first time i've noticed a black spot near the tail.. is that another species? or have i just been inobservant?

Hey, what have we got here! The normal Glassy is actually this .... a member of the Asiatic glassfishes, the Freckled hawkfish Freckled hawkfish What Lim hit is actually another close cousin but this fellow always linger solo or small packs to hunt at structured grounds. Highly Territory. As for the Hawkfish, they tends to swam in schools. Best Regards! Jim

thanks for the positive id jimmy... the one lim caught also seems to be slightly more elongated than the normal ones we find... another new species caugh on fly well done lim...

Nice picture! One thing about salt water flyfishing in the wild is that you would never really know what will end up at the end of your line. That's the thing that keeps me going and going in the salt.
