Hiya all!!! I am looking into very lite wt flyfishing here. I am thinking of getting a 00 or 0, maybe 1 or 2 flyrod, what are your recommendation? So far, I have only come across the Sage's TXL series having such wt. How do they perform? Any good in investing my money on them? What other brands carry such wt of rods too? Care to share with me? My main reasons for it, is to use them to fish for those super available pan fish using little dry flies and nymphs in the size below 14. To make it more interesting at times, targeting those peacock bass too using micro poppers like the ones that I am selling. [glow=red,2,300]Sage 00710-3 TXL[/glow]

Go for the SAGE TXL #00 Wt. Very nice rod. And very exciting when you get a fish.

Alamak Edward - you just missed the Sale of the Millineum liao la Cos Qwek just sold his TXL 00wt at FK.com for 2 bucks -to some Mexican guy ( just before that Forum kena unplugged ) ;D Maybe if you ask humbly - BT and Q might let you 've a go at their spare ones - for testing la But dun forget the kopi money - cos if the weather's too FLi-arty ( like me la ) - you guys will have to follow BT's lead and retire to a kopitiam - to talk cock liao ;D

Hiya Ed, You've read my mind bro... wondering what is the latest uber lite rod cos I've got greedy earlier on and now have a spare lite spool just for the job ;D.. Hey Bro BT .. what is the maximum casting distance of the sage 00? My attempts at the Coho 0wt has sometimes achieved negative distance Cheers Cheeyung

Hey Bro BT .. what is the maximum casting distance of the sage 00? My attempts at the Coho 0wt has sometimes achieved negative distance ;D ;D ;D I can cast about 25 feet with the #00 wt. That is with a small nymph or dry fly. Less if using micro-charlies to catch peacock basses. The TXL #00 wt is really a fast rod. Faster than the SPL #0 wt. But TXL is softer than SPL when fighting a fish. So more fun when you get a 1 kg peacock bass.

Hiaye all, Thks for the advice!!! I think I shall hold my horse before charging down to Coho to pick up one. My missy is around and if she sees it... instead of 3 pieces... maybe it is a 00710-[glow=red,2,300] 6[/glow] TXL (e). LOL (e) for epic I do have a question about the reliability of this rod. Is this rod that fragile that it could break on us like twig (twig question again )? I really hope not. Thks again!!!

What reel is that? Getting the rod also means getting the reel, the line... etc... I really want to know what is out there in the market which tailor to wt0 and 00 for such lite fishing.

Hiya Bros ;D, 25ft ar BT? velly velly humble leh .... I thought you did at least 30ft at JB last time on the 0wt..with Henry's coaching I think brushing 50ft liao .... BTW those big PBs are only 25ft away huh ... bring Ashley to grab them liao ..kekekeke FC... I really dumbo jumbo la... even the kokhead logo pb got more brains.... somehow can get 0wt to load on the backcast with only 10ft out but then forward cast limp liao... must be the tongkat problem ;D..BUT bamboo different story... ... both ways chicken feed .. must be the wood spacer tongkat wood ;D Bro Ed .. great catch fotos everywhere salt and fresh ... unlike me still polishing tackle..kekekeke... The extra spool is the jewel of a Charlton 8350c 1-2 spool since I have already used the 1-5 spool for the floating line to match the B2X...... I've a baby marryat for the Coho 0wt and therefore contemplating another lite plastic rod since the hexagraph 1wt deal failed last year ... sage 00 here I come!! ;D IF BT admits he can cast it 50ft Cheers Chee yung

... sage 00 here I come!! ;D IF BT admits he can cast it 50ft Cheers Chee yung I'll take a measurement tomorrow. My agar-agar could be way out, because when I fish, I too kan chiong to take note of the distance. ;D mtshark, there is only 1 Coho #0 wt left at COHO. Better be quick before it is taken. There is also a TXL #00.

Hi all, Thank you guys, thank you for all the information about lite wt flyfishing. I doubt I could pick up the rod from Coho later but it sure makes me want to chiong down there to swipe my card for that Sage TXL! I just cannot imagine myself holding the TXL in my hands and amusing myself by imagining that I hook up a 3kg peacock bass with it while actually I am sitting in a wheel chair for the next two months. Yucks! This is TORTURE!!! Worst than reading that FCUK publication's in that portable loo!!! TXL, wait for me ok? If not, I know you have clones too... kekeke
