Hi guys, I went to try out some lite fishing with wt 4... oh gosh! I am missing some fun man! Even small little fish can be so fun to catch with small little flies!!! Oh well, I am now looking into lite wt now and hopefully, more freshwater reports in the future in this freshwater section. Aint those little fellows cute? I bet! Fishing is fun, it can be more fun with flyfishing! ;D

One more. It is really fun to get fish using poppers. I was using a 4lbs tippet and whenever the baby toman jumped, my heart stopped. LOL. Thank God that it did not burst on me. ;D

Good day all, It has been more than eight (EIGHT!!!) weeks since I wet a line. That feeling is really undescribable and painful for me... hee ;D Alright, cut the whole thing short. I went fishing this morning!!! Around 0635hrs, I was waiting for nymph to pick me up at my place. I was greeted by a giant moth! A really beautiful one too - see attached picture. When I was waiting, this moth danced right infront of me for almost like 30sec before it settled on the the beam. It was kinda like a greeting to me. The slight drizzle and faint morning light, made the whole thing even more mysterious... After a LONG wait, (actually very short lah, long becoz too long never fish and very very excited) nymph arrived and we proceed straight to our fish hole. The place has not changed and still very FISHY! Within 10mins, nymph was already fighting. Seeing the kalui surfacing and slurping down the fly, got me too excited... when it was my turn, I forgot that I have to strike to connect!!! Hahahaha... I was laughing at myself... sight fishing at its best! Nymph burst a few biggies and one really nice koi while landing. Finally, when he connected another biggie, I helped him to land that big kalui. An awesome and beautiful fish! He was using the BH Harvest 0-1wt plus a Ross Evo 0. His reel had a few serious screaming sessions. He landed a few other kaluis but we didnt manged to snap the rest and only this biggie of his. I know that he is very contended as I could see from his big grin on his face. Well done. See attached pics below : I was having lots of heart stopping moments too but I was too slow or too shocked to set the hook. I was enjoying myself while watching them hitting the dry fly. After knowing that that hopper-look-alike fly works wonder, I decided to put on other flies to test. The first one was lured by a size 14 polarfibre moth-look-alike fly. See attached pic below : The second one was also taken on the same fly. The third one was taken on a pacu fly. I was aiming for pacu but the kalui apparently liked it too. The last fish for me in the morning was a similar pinky kalui like nymph's, a biggie too. I fought him for about 10mins and lost him to a snag... my Abel had a good time screaming too. It was fun!!! Last landed fish for me in the morning. See attached below : These fish are so beautiful... God's creation is really wonderful. Hopefully, I will be back with more catch reports soon. Wish me luck!

By the way, I hope those little flies are doing their job for you. If not, let me know, I will pass you some proven patterns to get that fish you want! Still have alot of protos flies in the box, waiting to be 'slurped'... See you soon! ;D

After the morning session, nymph, JK and me went back to fish the water again in the evening. I had a 'little bit' of fun once more. I was using a size 14 dry fly and managed to land three and missed a few. The fly was lost to a fish later and we called it a day. I am quite tired when I got home and cant write more. I shall let the pictures do the rest. This koi is kinda..... errr.... but it shall is a good fighter. While the fly was sitting on the water surface, this little fellow hit it. Could you imagine how small it is? The hook is a size 14. It shall is a aggressive warrior at the end of the line. So cute!

wow..great catch man.. for the past 2 weeks i've been trying for tilapias at night..got quite a few..but quite sick of them liao.. ;D..now sch re open liao..less time for fishing.. Hello, Dont worry. Fishing will be a good way to release your stress from school work. These are perfect combination and to make things even better, I know that your fish hole is not too far away from school too. When able, just go and swing it. 30mins to 60mins or less, it is still fishing. All the best in school and fishing!!!
