Hi Fly Fishermen, This is one of my own Dry Fly concoction from the tying bench. I call it the " Kamikaze Dry Fly". Hook : TMC 101 #8 Thread : Uni Black 8/0 Tail : White hackles Body : Uni white yarn and red floss Wing : Red Calf Tail Hackles : Whiting Farms white hackle The idea came upon me while I was browsing my Model Tamiya Catalogue when I came across the Japanese World War II Fighter Aircraft - Type 21 Zero Fighter. It was flown during the "Battle of Midway" and many young lives were lost when the Japanese pilots dived their aircraft at the US Navy carriers and battleships. This suicidal action was known as "Kamikaze" as in "Divine Wind". That is what I'm gonna do with this dry fly........ dived it into the feeding zone of the fish like the "Divine Wind". Hopefully, I will land a Kamikaze fish with it. Happy tying, Huns

Hi there Fly Tyers, Spring is here! It's another new fishing season for me in the Land of the Rising Sun. Soon, the trout creeks and streams will open and so will the Suzuki (Seabass) be splashing in the Tokyo Bay area. Thought I give this fly a try at the Suzuki in mid April. This fly is based on the good old Lefty Deceiver but........ Hook : TMC 2499SP-BL #6 Thread : Uni White 8/0 Tail : Bucktail White and Rainbow Krystal Flash Body : Calf Tails Topping : Peacock Herl Eyes : Adhesive Eyes Head : Red Head Cement and Epoxy. This fly is my attempt at creating a quick and easy pattern to tie. It is lightweight and offers the correct silhouette to feeding fish...... I will know come mid April. Happy tying, Huns
