Hey Elmo, What the point of getting caught with your pants down and ending up with 40 days of detention and a new rod? Got new rod but cannot go and fish regards Alberto

Hi Guys, Manage to have a quick session this morning to wet my line and continue my journey at one of our usual spot. The morning was cool and I walk to the water edge, there was little surface activity. So tie on a charlie and started working the weed area with my #3. Caught a couple of fingerlings and saw a couple of larger ones following but could not induce them to hit the fly. I moved off the another spot and started to work the weeds again when this small one hit the charlie. Following closely behind and all the way to the edge was its male partner. A quick photo and this little lady was gently returned back to be reunited with it partner Next week is another session... ;D regards Alberto

Guys, We must come to realize that it's living creature who has valiantly fought for its life and deserves all the respect we can give it, to be returned with dignity back to its home. ;D

Hmmmm... I think we just practice casting will do. Hi Jim, Don't get me wrong, I enjoy fishing very much, especially fly fishing. The point I'm making is that we need to treat the vanquished, in this case, the fish, big or small, with dignity instead of chucking it back into the water like I use to do. regards Alberto

... which is why we need to be a good example of all that we say and do ... including what we post here ;D regards Alberto Totally agree with you Alberto! "A good example."..........Was fishing at wh recently with the usual kakis. Along came "pioneer" and friend. Also, along came a dad and his 2 young kids, watching us, bewildered at our style of fishing. Then came the ultimate....."pioneer" and friend started throwing their catch! The scene will be forever imprinted in their young minds, they probably think it is natural to do so! A good example to set is not only applicable to only us anglers, but to the public as well. Cheers.
