Hi Folks, After 6 months of trying, I have manage to catch my first fish on a fly. My heartfelt thanks to Mike, Qwek and Uncle Amin for the encouragement and support. As my journey continues, I'll share the pixs here. Peacock bass caught on a #4 Coho Flycast and Ross Evo 1.

Hi mtshark, The ross was not my first choice for the LT. I had hope to pair it with a Hardy Bougle MkIV. Lovely classic reel for a very sweet green stick. But the twit in a local tackle shop... well, if I do not have anything nice to say, I'll not say it! I ended up with a Ross Evo 1 which is still a very nice small reel. Alberto

Hi Folks, My journey continues but the sizes seems to be going down south... nevertheless, every fish caught on a fly is precious to me ... The little baby PB Qwek, thanks for the udang lalats... These small PB was going beserk over them. Unfortuantely, a fairly large fish later at another spot, striped the udang fly of the tippet after 3-4 seconds on the drag! I need to practice my knot tying skills My French fly fisho, Marc took a decent size one! The smile on his face, I guess, says it all.

Hi Uncle Albert, Dont worry about the size of the fish. If you see small ones around, very high chance that within the area, there might be a few biggies lurking around and ready to strike when hungry. Even stock market goes up and down. Soon, the 'bear' and the 'bull' will be charging away with that fly of yours in their mouth. A fish on a fly is always a better fish to me.

Hi Alberto,
Thanks again for your friendship and the very nice journey last saturday, not to hot, not rainy, and lots of fish attacking angrily.
Very emotionnal to see the yellow (or orange ? I am colour blind anyway) shadow rising on the fly.
So unlucky for the huge one that took away your line... but do not worry there are plenty of fish awaiting... everywhere around the world.
hehehe
