Hi folks, Went with Pak Amin last weekend to chack out a new fishing ground. This place is huge litter with ponds in the estate. Clusters of 4-5 ponds each as big as a football field and each clusters is about 500m apart. Each pond is stock with different fish, paku, patin, song, lampan, tilapia, sultan, sebarau and others. These ponds are located with a huge fruit farm, and is famous for it durains and had famous Visitors from Singapore like our favourite past President. Check these out: Look closer and you will Geogie boy in there too. To fish there, first you have to register with the estate manager, Enchik Razak before you head out to the the Paku pond. One of the many haruans ponds. Fish On! Pak Amin with a paku on the end of the line. (you have to wait for Ah Pak to post his catch) The above are picturees of the sebarau and lampan pond which has a waterfall. They even managed to get the sebarau to breed there. Pak Amin is planning a trip there soon and also during the National Day week. There will be single day trips and overnight as well, there is only a chalet for 10 peoples. Beside fishing, there is alway makan. The spread for lunch is heavan on earth, most of us had seconds, some went for the third rounds. OOOH the balachan is like nothing on earth! I think their trick to stuff you silly so that you won't go out to fish after lunch. ;D If you are interested to fish there, please pm or give Pak Amin a call. Cheers Qwek

Hi folks,
Ok. so far we have the following:
1) Jimboz 2) Alberto 3) IMX (please let me know if you other kakis coming) tks. 4) Himolizard 5) Qwek 6) Mark 7) Daniel
The plan is to crossover around 4.00am and to reach Razak's Place by 6.30 or first light depending how fast we can wolf down the roti canai. ;D Checks in and then fish until lunch lunch, then carry on till Dinner call. Bring along torchlight preferably head-mounted light for some night fishing. Then it Bombay and Cuban hours. If you can get early the next day, we will fish either before or after breakfast. We have to pack up after lunch before the journey back to Singapore.
If everyone can leave on August 7 evening, we can stay overnight and don't have to rush the next morning. But it just an option unless all agree.
Will provide more detail later. Meanwhile I going to get some more furry foam from Jimmy Aw and also some black zonker strips. ;D
Cheers Qwek

Hi Jimboz, I've arranged for transport to and from RP, one of you have to hop on Tarponcraz's car to even put the load. We will have additional transport over there for the daily sorties at the ponds. Mind you the ponds are spread out over a few acres. Thanks to IMX for pointing out the meeting point error, the correct meeting point should be the Old Wosdland Center just outside the Immgrations and Customs. Do bring dry flies as well, just as Yellow Sally, #10 Griffin Gnat, or Stimulator. Happy tying ;D Cheers Qwek
