Hi folks, Sorry to keep you guys waiting. We cross over the causeway around 0600 and met up with Elmo just after the custom. We stopped over for breakfast and for drinking waters before heading to Razak's Place. Somewhere outside Carrefour we got diverted onto different roads due to roadwork and had to do a short tour of the nearby town before meeting up at Giant. We drove on toward Desaru, and poor Elmo got the wrong info from me that it's only 1km after Kota Tinggi which was to stretch for another 50 kms later. Eventually we reached the entrance to RP around 0830. We were welcomed by Encik Razak and Pak Amin at the guest house, we checked in and stored our bags into the room then Razak took us to the Waterfall. As we drove along the dirt track, Elmo was having a grand time flying along on his dirt bike with the wind blowing into his hairs. At the waterfall, I had to pick all the drop jaws as they stood there qawking at the sceneries. One may wondered if they are standing at attention for the national day. Oops, can't see the waterfall, 'cause I'm standing on it. Jimboz and Elmo fishing at various part of the waterfall. Jimboz with a sebarau trying to swim away with his shrimp. This seb took my caddies fly as I was trying for the sultan fish. At the same spot, I spotted this haruan sticking it head out of the weed, still with the caddies fly on, i casted toward it and it took the fly and dive among the weeds. I had to go over and pull it out with my hand. Further down the stream, I spotted some silver flashed down stream, look like sultans to me. So I started using dry; mayflies, caddies and other, but they only came up to inspect the flies. Later I decided to use nymphs, they followed and again no takers, using one of the mayflies I pulled off the wings and used it as an emerger. This time the fishes charged toward the fly and one took it and swam away. It was peeling line off the reel and with a 2 lbs tibbet on I took my time bringing the fish in. Not sure if is a lampan, any guess? IMX got a good size sultan but i was not around to take picture for him. Jimboz and others had a good time around the waterfalls, with sultan and other fishes. Jimboz had his fly yanked from his 12 lbs tibbet by a runaway train. Kelah? Beside the ponds at the waterfall, there are others spread over a vast area and you need wheels to get from one to the other. At one of the pacu pond, himolizard got a 4 lbs pacu and IMX got another sultan. At the main pacu pond, both Jimboz and Elmo got their 30lbs braids bursted!!! Elmo got his sweet revenge at the neighbouring pond; Elmo posing with his Sultan and a Lampan. Elmo with another fish on, some of the ponds had the shrub trimmed for additional backroom. A flyfisherman dream come thru! The gin gang, on the last day the others arrived but fished at other ponds we only met up during lunch. My trusty companion. Hope to see pictures posted by the others as well. Cheers Qwek

Hi Ed, I didn't post the makan report caused we were speechless. I kept seeing Jimboz going for seconds. ;D The lunch spread was about the same as the previous trip, the breakfast spread of nasi lemak and roti canai were worth the wait, I never had so many koso before. Here a pic of the previous lunch spread, when I try to snap a picture of the breakfast, it was only empty plates left. Don't worry, there will another trip coming up soon. Cheers Qwek

Sorry for being late guys, here are the rest of the picture that I took! First was my Jelawat or sultan fish caught on my condom fly! That the whole shoal was swimming around but doesn't seems to take anything till I took out my condom fly..... ] Here is Imx wif his Jelawat pic that Q missed to take but luckily I was there to take for him! ;D After trying hard at the pacu pond and didn't catch anything, I went to the neigbouring pond and caught 3 haruans like this one! Then this old man, of which we felt like kicking him into water becos he just went to the corner where I and Hiromolizard was trying so hard for the past 3hrs wif not bite, and caught this nice pacu wif his first cast! On the last day we went back to the waterfall, and here Jambul was seen casting eagar to catch a fish. Love this beautiful place... This the place where I caught more sebaraus below the waterfall. Its a nice place to fish and relax, no pub man and no rangers!

Hi kawan kawan, Went up last weekend to RP with Zahari and Tan, who despite being down with fever, drove down - alone - all the way from KL, becuz he cannot tahan seeing the pix posted here. Here's what we landed, enjoy lah. Alberto, my friend, bila you want to come up? Tan's medicine which he quickly recovered from his fever - the jelawat (sultan) caught with a dry fly. Tan beeming (no more sick) with this lampang jawa which he used a pellet fly. ;D Finally Zahri broke his jinx . . . . when ........ . . . . he pulled in this ruhu with bread fly. woo hu!!! and then a pacu with a jonker Rod & Line Faiz caught his dream fish with his prototype fly that look like a tadpole. He's named it a "broodu After many straightend hooks, i finally hooked this one with an emerger from a pond nearby the pacu pond. Need help - anyone (Jimmy?) know where I can get hooks that Mr.Taka use?
