I had a dream and it started more than 40 years ago after rummaging through my fathers fishing gears and saw a a fly fishing kit . It was in Singapore . Mandai reservoir introduced me to bait fishing We later moved over to Malaysia. This was a start of a journey which took me and my DAD to every nook and cranny be it fresh water or saltwater fishing. When my dad died the responsibility was taken over by my elder brother. I felt safe and secure when I was with him fishing. In small sampan or boats. To cut the story short my brother died of lung cancer years back. Then another journey started. I didn't knew what it was but I bought Fly line and match it a with casting rod to get the feel. I read magazines on fly fishing and even ordered a fly rod. But it was the most ugly rod I have ever seen. Canceled the purchase and ended up buying thousand dollars worth of reels and rods not related to fly fishing. Last Sunday my dream came through. I caught a JELAWAT on fly. Fell knee deep in water while shouting for Pak Amin. But I held the rod up high. The fish must not be lost. The lunker was safe in my hands. Thanks to Pak Amin for his patience and perseverance and helping to me realize my dream. That night I sstop dreaming. Pak Amin. RP is your place and let us Fly fishermen make RP the the place for dreams to come true. Take your kids fishing . Get him hook on fishing not on drugs

hi ajak, congratulations on your first jelawat on fly.razak's place has many surprises in store.i saw a kijang crossing the road with white tail up and very early in the morning animals like wild boars and squirrels and rare birds are to be seen searching for food in the area.big groups of jelawat can be seen in the lower pools of the waterfall which remind me of a large japanese garden.i had a lot of fun trying to catch them.cheers.

Hi encik Razak, Look like you are not the only one who stepped thru the grass patch by the water edge. ;D ;D nice bobby traps you got there. ;D very good hiding place for the sultan fish as well. Here you are in action and I noticed that you stay away from the edge as well ;D great catch too. I managed to haul up a couple from that spot in the late afternoon, saw bigger ones lurking below the frenzy. At the next pond, Modhamed got a good hookup that got him pumping for a good 15 minutes or so. This is one beautiful rohu. Earlier at the pacu pond, Alberto was having a great time during the frenzy. He got a sultan at the start of the frenzy, I managed to take a picture of the fish using my rod as coparison while he got back into the frenzy. Got three hookups, of which two took his line into the backing the third like the first two burst off after a while. Sure got his tinker pumping like crazy. What a pack day trip for us and the journey home was enjoyable as well. Folks, there are great makan places along the main road to Kota Tinggi, give them a try. Till the next time. Cheers Qwek

Hi folks,
Last week we went up to check up the roads leading to Razak's Place, and some places were affected by the recent flooding. There were landslides along the road leading to Kota Tinggi and repairs are on going. These affected sites do cause congestion during peak hours. But the good new is that the bridges along the road to Desaru are repairs and it fairly smooth driving along that stretch.
They will be arranging two weekends at the end of Feburary and fromthen on. They have to do a different arrangement this time round. Instead of putting your name down for the next slots, round up 4 or 5 kakis and a car then Pak Amin will made arrangement with Encik Razak. To stay ovenite, they need at least 8 kakis to share the chalet.
The followings has contact me for the next trip, maybe you guys can get together to arrange for transport.
Reluntant Hero Cookiemunster Angmo Beng Imx Jambul
Hope you understand the need for this arrangement, it very difficult to gather the kakis and have to wait for the arrangement.
Cheers Qwek

Pak Amin, Just wondering what has happened to Razak's place.
Since the failed trip to go up there during Chinese New Year, nothing has been heard... and there has been quite a few of us who have paid a membership fee as well.
regards Alberto

Since this place opened there were numerous enquiries on how to join and getting to fish there. Todate, many are still kept waiting for a response.
Unforunately, I do not have answer to those queries. I have tried a few time to arrange fishing sessions for those registered members and also for new comers. So far I had not been able to arrange any trip this year. Nor do I know what happened to your membership standing.
Hopefully, the owner or the operator can shed some light to this place.
Regards Qwek

Qwek, It seems like the place is now open to public for fishing and also can use bait (dough) on designated ponds. Fly and lures is still the main activities there. See link below for cr on VT. www.fishing.net.my/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=11076cheers TYS
