Hi Folks, Last week weather was not ideal and in my morning session, I have two fish which burst my 8lbs tippet. My sifus tell me to go up to 15lbs for the tippet The rest of the session I have only manage to score a two tilapia. At least, I have manage to baptise my Hardy Angel on a good size talipia ;D Oh well, I hope this week will bring better results Cheers and Tightlines Alberto

Its a new rod and I want to spend some quality time with her. In some of the earlier posts, there are some pretty decent PBs on the #3 and its pretty scary the way the line screams of the reel The more I fish with Master Q, the more I feel the infection of using #3 and below ;D ...there is still one piece of TXL #1 left on Mentri Besar's shelf ...should I walk down that slippery slope? cheers Alberto

This reel was my preferred choice for my #3LT. I was too late and somebody beat me to it at the shop so I ended up with the Evo 1. Cheers and tightlines Alberto

Hi Jim & mts, Rational mind says "Get the #1" ;D Itchy kar cheng says "Get the #0 or #00" Truth is i may not have the expertise to handle the #0 or #00 and ends up as a rather expensive white elephant in the cupboard err... itchy kar cheng voice getting quite loud!! regards Alberto

I you get the 00#, it will scratch your itchy kar cherng for you. ;D The 00# is easy and fun to cast la. All you have to do is practice and slow down the casting a few times and I'm sure you will be reluctant to use a higher wt rod. . I use to like fast action rods , but when i bought my Jap Babe, 3# glass rod, I've learn to slow down and been enjoying it since. Now all my other rods is on rack collecting dust!

Hi Alberto, Jimboz and I totally agree that you go get that 00#! Dont worry about itchy this or itchy that. For me, I am lucky to get the last of the Black Hole Harvest TR 0-1wt. I never regretted it and never will. It is slower than the Sage TXL 00# and probably one of the slowest around in the world. With a 4lbs tippet, I landed a peacock bass 4.5lbs on the boga with great thrill and excitement. Cold sweat and thank God, the tippet stayed on till the fish was landed and 'shot', then released. It is like falling in love again. Soon, all the rest of the 'mistresses' will be staying at home biting dust... ;D Itchy is good! ;D Right, Jimboz?
