Hi Folks, God's grace was abundant last week end and allowed my journey to move on. ;D The highlights... Had lot of smaller size ones such as these As the session went on, they got bigger ;D The best of the day and it allowed me to baptise my Super Abel 4. He went for the fly, missed it and got foul hook on the skin near the eye socket. I took it easy during the fight as I did not want to damage his eye. At least the hook's barb has been flattened and it came out easily. Till next week Cheers and tightlines Alberto

Hi Folks, My journey continues... but it seems (at least for me that is) that all the PBs have gone into hiding. All I could manage is Zebras. Consolation is that they are all palm size and they put up a good fight. The highlights My first Jaguar! The are such lovely fish... they look like groupers ;D National Day Holiday saw me having my fill of "Pak Kor" Total Blank Well, this weekend is comming with the hope of better things to come ;D Cheers and Tightlines Alberto

Hey Alberto, Nice fish and nice 'grouper look-a-like' - jaguar. Sometimes, it takes a while for the peacock bass to appear when the day begins. I guess the daylight and the atmospheric pressure play a big part here. (just my own personal experience) Once when everything seems right and soon you will see the peacock bass tailing your fly. The basses will take almost any flies at the the first 10 minutes of such good beginning until later on we have to offer a wider varieties for them to choose. Take out the poppers and get ready for some explosive displays!

Hi Folks, Took a day leave on Monday and went up north to fish with some friends. The highlight... These are the kind of places I grew up fishing in. Very ulu and rustic. Sound of birds and insects in the background. The only fish worth talking about was the pacu that hit my bread fly. When I did a strip strike, he went ballistic and powered his way to the other end of the pond like a bat out of hell and half the backing was out in no time at all. At the back of my mind, I was worried that I might get spooled by the pacu After almost 15 minutes of a fight I'll be remember for a long time to come, the strong butt of my #3 allowed me to bring the leader and pacu in. The estimated weight of the pacu was 1.5 to 2 kgs. My friend has the leader in his hand and when he was about to land it, the fish has chewed through the 8 lbs flourocarbon tippet Many thanks to my friends who brought me along on this trip. Althought the pacu was not landed, the fight was worth a million bucks ;D ;D ;D Cheers and tightlines Alberto [glow=red,2,300]Wonder what it would be like to fight a fish of that size on a #00.[/glow] Talk bout itchy backside ;D

Hi Folks, The past couple of sessions had me eating a huge amount of "Pak Kor" till I had indigestion Last weekend, my journey moves on and had an opportunity for me to baptise some new acqusitions The highlights The Jap Babe and the British Gentlemen opening hit of a lovely Peacock Bass with a small baitfish pattern fly. Although there have been numerous hits from very small PBs, this fine speciment was landed just before we ended the session. The Jap babe's performance is excellent. Henceforth, she shall be baptise "GoGo Yubari" The sexy pair The outfit on top belongs to the Master. The next Jap acqusition will be baptise "O-Ren Ishii" Till next week Cheers and Tightlines Alberto

Hi An Ren, This Sat would depend on the Minister of Home Affairs schedule. We have to cook lunch for our church, which is a monthly affair ;D so it all depends on when she wants to go to the market.

Hi Folks, Last weekend journey did not go too well. The first location where we fished early in the morning has the PBs following the baitfish pattern but refusing to strike I even spotted a decent size albino Louhan crusing around but simply not interested in any of my offerrings. Morning session - pak kor for breakfast Afternoon session did not fare much better for me. Onli manage one zebra and one decent size PB that hit a black and white clouser and gained it freedom about 2 minutes later I hate to admit this but I actually did something I should not have I toss the zebra back out bout five feet with the fly and line still attached, hoping something big would come by for an easy meal But no such luck for me that day. So thank you, my little zebra, at least my day did not end on a full blown meal of pak kor ;D Till next week Cheers and tightlines Alberto
